Economic, social and political forces today loudly dictate the successes and failures of the hospitality industry. In times like these, what is and isn’t working can start to feel arbitrary. The good news is that it’s not.
In 2024, Right Angle’s collaboration with the Asahi Ventures & Innovation Team is entering an exciting new phase: a suite of freestanding consultancy services propped up by Right Angle insights, editorial and creative. It’s called A+ Advisory and members receive access to exclusive content including the flagship annual publication, the A+ Future Trends Report.
The Future Trends Report 2024–25 is a barometer of the rapidly changing state of hospitality in Australia and beyond. Through wholesale research and trend analyses, this report captures what we know will impact four key focus areas of hospitality for the years to come.
Across Design, Product, Service and Programming, the report highlights rigorous research from leading global sources that’s anchored to its local market through insights gleaned through the A+ Consumer Survey.

Not one to leave readers guessing, we show how these trends are playing out in the market through in-depth analysis of international benchmarks. Some of these include Los Angeles’ Estrano, the roaming punk pop up that’s currently in residence as Poltergeist in Echo Park, London’s Carousel, a restaurant without a permanent chef, and Australia’s very own Reine & La Rue – one of the biggest openings in Melbourne in the past 12 months.
